Assignment 2 - Create a Crystal
Glow of Sunshine Cystal:
This crystal is guaranteed to bring a smile to any pixie's face. When used at the midday sun and sprinkled with fairy dust, wave a feather tree feather to the heavens and say "Gloomy day depart; send sunshine to the pixie of my heart". Say the desired pixie's name 3 times and blow away your feather. Your pixie friend will feel happy and joyful immediately!! Can only be used on sunny days.
Assignment 3 - Essay Time
Whispering Meadows is a "fairy" enchanted place. Deep with trees, lush grasses, sparkling brooks, all pixies who enter feel the magic of the air. At any given time, the gentle breezes blow puffs of cottonwood seed about, giving the added impression of flights of fantasy. Pixies gather about, singing and dancing amongst the tigerlilies, or dreamily laze about under tuffs of pampas grass, catching willing dragonflies to hold in their hands. Some pixies can be found laying in the alfalfa, just watching the marshmallow clouds over head, perhaps finding faces or animal shapes in some. Elfin folk can be found shyly hiding beneath the tufted caps of mushrooms, as they dart about when they think you are not looking.
Whispering Meadows is a place for charm callers to do their "spell" shopping; many plants and items found in the meadows are full of magical powers. Some have even great medicinal powers. If a pixie has a toothache, a charm caller can gather brew a special tea of the bark of the Ash-prin tree. Stomache aches are relieved by having the affected pixie chew the root of the gin-gin bush; its taste is very much like the ginger root in the rest of the real world. And if you are just looking for a nibble of green goodness, the delicate blossoms of the orangey-pink lollitart flowers are a refreshing treat (they taste a bit like oranges and peppermint).
Far on the other side of Whispering Meadows runs a brook that also is a favorite gathering place. The brook runs deep and cool, its water clear and delightfully delicious to thirsty pixies. It is said that bathing your face in the brook will bring you pleasant dreams and good health. And occasionally you may be joined by a unicorn or two as they pick their way daintily though the shallower bends of the brook. If you can guess what they are thinking, it is said they will leave you a horn of unicorn dust, which is way more powerful than fairy dust.
There are a few homes in the area, mostly closest to Bay Creek and Autumn Creek areas. These homes are most usually transformed from old tree trunks, and almost always have flowering vines that not only shade the home, but make it so beautiful that no one wants to harm it.
There is no other place in all of Xanandon more beautiful or tranquil than Whispering Meadows.

Assignment 7 - Forensics
We all enjoy spending time on our computers, whether its to pixel, read blogs, or join groups of the same interests. But what if you could join a place that transports you to a magical world of beauty, excitement, and fun, not to mention making wonderful friendships?? What if while visiting this imaginative world you could become a pixie, fluttering about on gossamer wings, visiting different sections of this world? And what if you could earn money (play money) to spend in the different shops to give your pixie beauty, charm, and attitude? You'd love it, wouldn't you. And what if you could attend a school to learn more magic, spells, and cast charms? And along side of all this, you get to participate in games, take tours, and learn to speak a pixie language? Well, grab your magic wand, slip on your wings, and fly over to Xanandon!
Xanandon has so much to offer you...whether it be shopping along Bay Creek, visiting the magic store, buying your very own Xanandon vehicle (they have bugs and Mustangs to drive!), buy your own home to live in just about anywhere in the Xanandon world, having your hair done at the elite Bay Creek Beauty Salon, playing games at the community center, or just stopping in for a cup of coffee with Suzy Homemaker. There is also a police station, just in case there might be an unruly pixie! And if you're an animal lover, stop by Kat's to adopt a pet!
Hop in your car, zip over to Autumn Creek, and enjoy the fresh country air! You can find some great clothing at the exclusive shops there (custom designed or summer wear, even royalty or costumes!!), or visit the local farm, where the Applegates are ready to welcome you. Adopt one of their farm animals...a more unusual pet cannot be found elsewhere! Take a walk about Crystal Pond (I hear you can "fish" for real crystals there!) or take in the fair when it hits town.
Whispering Meadows is opening soon; a magical, dreamy forest and field where charm callers take care of their magic powers and spells.
And eventually, we'll be visiting Queen Cordelia herself at the castle. Be ready to bow before this more than generous queen.

Assignment #10 - Brew up a recipe
Pumpkin Punch
2 cans ORANGE punch (the large tall cans)
2 2 liter bottles Sprite/7 Up soda
orange and/or lime sherbert
Package of plastic spider rings
Mix both the punch and the soda together. Pour into your choice of container; cleaned out pumpkin, witch's couldron, etc Add the package of spider rings to the punch (if you're picky, you can wash them before adding...LOL) Needless to say, this punch is not for really small children (under age of 5)
Using ice cream scoop, and just before serving, place scoops of sherbert on the top of the punch. You can sprinkle the sherbert with Halloween color sprinkles, if you want. Serve immediately.

"Memory Makers"
This club is for anyone who likes doing little things to preserve memories; ie scrapbooks, etc. With events and happenings going on in Xanandon, its up to us to create pages, frames, embellishments, etc that can enhance the population of Xanandon's experiences by trapping them in decorative and useful projects.
Having said that (what a mouthful, eh??), our projects will consist of a different theme each month, depending on the event/holiday/etc for that month. Your assignments will be to create anything than can be used for a scrapbook or memory page that other members can add to their satchels.

My flower is a "Blues Chaser" It should be kept in a southern window, and whenever a pixie is feeling sad and blue, she should cup the blossom in her hands and say:

When the flower turns sunshiny yellow, the pixie will automatically feel better!!
Assignment #19 How Crystals are Formed
Here's my assignment:
Crystals are formed when a solid in which the atoms, molecules, or ions are packed in a regularly ordered repeating pattern that are 3 dimensional. Usually a mineral is present, however, science has been able to replicate the way nature makes crystals in order to give us man made gems, etc.
Topaz is found in lava flows, and can be yellow, green, blue, pink, gray, or white. Most have been found in Germany, Norway, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and even the US
Sapphires are usually found in streams or river beds. They are only dark blue when heated to over 1800 degrees for a few hours. Usually they can be found in pink, white, and other light colors. Star sapphires are stones that have white "silk" within the crystal that form a 6 or 12 point star. In the US, sapphires have been found in Montana and North Carolina.
Tourmaline is a brownish yellow crystal that can also be found in blue, green, red, and pink. This crystal is the ONLY one to be found with a 3 sided prisim. Also they can be bi or tri colored. You'll most likely find them in Brazil or Africa, but they have been found in CA, USA in the early 1900s and more recently in Maine.
Aquamarines can be found in gem-gravel placer deposits in Brazil and Russia, as well as Colorado, USA. Aquamarine is Colorado's state gem. Aquamarine is closely identified with emeralds.
Olivina (peridot) is a green/greenish yellow crystal that literally comes from outer space!! Its found in meteorites, Mars, and our moon. When a meteroite flashes over, small particles can be scattered along its path, usually resulting in a find of olivina. In the USA, its been found in Hawaii, North Carolina, New Mexico (Roswell perhaps???), and Arizona.
Snowflakes are natural crystals too. They are formed when freezing temperatures are present during precipitation. You'll find them anywhere it snows :-)
Assignment #20 Candle Making
Container Candles
These are my favorite; you can use just about any glass container, and because you can melt at a lower temperature for these, the smell is disbursed much better than regular pillar or tapers.
Start with a clean container (I've used brandy sniffers and margarita glasses before) Melt your wax in a double broiler to 160 degrees (always use a thermometer for this). While the wax is melting, prepare your container. Using pretabbed wicks and a straw or outside barrel of a Bic pen, put a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the tab and use it to guide your wick to the center of the bottom of the container, then remove the straw. Preheat your container before adding the hot wax; this helps the wax adhere to the glass better.
If your wax is now at the correct temperature, nows the time to add the scented oil (gardena is my favorite!) and dye. Make sure to mix it well. Pour your wax into your container carefully, saving 20% of it for later. Make sure your wick is straight, and allow the candle to cool completely.
When the candle is completely cool, reheat the remaining wax to 185 degrees and finish filling your container (if the container will have a lid, make sure to leave room for it. Again allow the container to cool completely.
Once cooled, trim the wick down to 1/4 in. Sit back and relax while enjoying your new candle!!

Mission: To mentor and guide new pixies in learning Xanandon and its environment by assisting them with satchels, providing them with their first pixie outfits, pets, hairstyles, familiarizing them with the shops, the forum, and teaching them how to make XDs and obtaining picxie dust.
Organization Outline
I. Mentoring
1. Take a newbie pixie under your wing when they first join. Give her a "tour" of Xanandon, help answer her questions, and make it publically known she is in your care.
II. Provisionals
1. Provide your pixie "charge" with a shopping trip, buying her her first outfit, hairstyle, and one new pet. Funds will be made available to you by way of organization bank account. You are allowed to spend up to 2000XDs, but may spend more (which would come out of your own account) Shop wisely!
III. Familiarizing and welcoming
1. Shower your new pixie charge with gifts, which can be clothing from one of the shops, pet accessories, sig tags, etc. Create a page in your satchel to show off your new charge, show her around in the forum, encourage her to post often and gain pixie dust and XDs.
IV. Letting Go
1. Once your charge is familiar and comfortable with her home in Xanandon, its time to "release" her into the mainstream of Xanandon. Let her know you will always be there should she need you, and encourage her to stay in close contact with you, but also bond with other pixies.
Radellas are counseling pixies (which is what the name means), and being part of this immense task requires a pixie with a big heart who wishes to make other pixies feel safe, secure, and welcome in their new home. As new pixies join our little community, you may be asked to take on one; if you are swamped with other things, you may pass, but please remember that you are expected to assist with newbies at least 2 times a year. Organization president will give a list of new pixies as they come in, and you may request who you want to assist, but if someone should not be chosen, president will ask the members to step up.
Our goal is to make Xanandon the most rewarding and inviting home on the net by making new members feel welcome. If we follow these guides, our goal will be easily met.
Assignment #23 Field Trip
Go on a field trip, make snapshots with a pixie friend(s) and tell about what you're doing.
Seraphina notice that new pixie Branwynne has no clothing or hairstyle...what to do!!! So she grabs Dipsy Do and makes a beeline to Bay Creek Beauty Salon!! There they both view the newest styles to go back to encourage Branwynne to get one. Bald is NOT beautiful when you're a pixie!!
WOW!!! Karma is wearing a new costume for Valentine's Day and Seraphina is jealous....so Karma grabs Seraphina for a quick trip to Autum Creek to the Magical Costume Shop! Seraphina can't stand it, she has to have one (which she did get, in white) Now she can look as cool as Karma!
Seraphina loves to visit with her friend Kinsey at A Stitch In Time. She decided to take Bree along with her so they can gab with Kinsey about all the newest fashions coming out this spring. Kinsey goes to Paris alot, so both pixies listen closely!
What could be more fun than froliking with new lambs??? Shaylee and Seraphina want to find out! So off they go to Applegate farm. After a quick chat with the owners, the Applegates, they enjoy an hour of playing with the newest lambs. Seraphina wanted to get another lamb, but Shaylee reminded her that she already has 2 and lamb chow in Xanandon is VERY scarce!!
